Bringing a 1920’s House Back to Life in the 21st Century

Bringing a 1920’s House Back to Life in the 21st Century

Our client purchased a tired and dated 1920’s detached Arts & Crafts house in West Byfleet, Surrey as a renovation project.

The house was set over two floors and in need of an extensive refurbishment and modernisation throughout as well as significant  extensions and a loft conversion. They have now created a stunning 5/6 bedroom family home, still in keeping with the Arts and Crafts style  but with modern interiors and spacious open plan living.

On the ground floor, accessed via a spacious and welcoming hallway with feature galleried staircases to the upper floors, is a large open plan kitchen, family and dining space.  Also on the ground floor is a formal sitting room, study, TV/playroom and all important utility/boot room.

The first floor features a master bedroom suite together with a three further bedroom suites and family bathroom.  The top floor features a fifth bedroom, a bathroom and a media room which doubles up as a 6th bedroom.

Outside to the rear south facing garden, is a large patio space perfect for dining and entertaining looking out onto a generous lawn.  To the front is a sizeable in- and-out driveway and detached car barn surrounded by landscaped gardens.
